CEO, Enterprise4Good Group – Non-Executive Director, The Boathouse CIC
Mark is an experienced entrepreneur and as CEO of the Enterprise4Good Group, is one of East London & Essex’s leading authorities on entrepreneurship, enterprise growth, flexible workspace provision and economic development.
Whilst building and selling a portfolio of his own profitable businesses, Mark became – and remains – a huge ambassador for business-led regeneration, community engagement, social and community enterprise development, and corporate social responsibility. His current portfolio of executive and non-executive directorships extends across profit- and non-profit-making businesses.
Mark was responsible for the design, delivery and launch of the Barking Enterprise Centre, and was Chair of Barking & Dagenham’s Skills, Jobs & Enterprise Board. He is non-executive director of East London Radio CIC, a fast-growing radio broadcaster, media and communications training company, and is Non-Executive Chair of Blackhorse Workshop CIC, one of London’s most successful creative industry “maker spaces”.
Mark is one of the UK’s leading experts on flexible workspace provision and he currently sits on the UK Board of the Business Centre Association of Great Britain, where he represents independent operators and small business owners. His portfolio encompasses community engagement, local authority partnerships, entrepreneurship and SME support programmes.
He is a recent devotee, promoter and photographer of live jazz music, and is a lifelong – and extraordinarily patient – West Ham United fan. He is very excited about their recent move to the Olympic Stadium in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, one of the world’s most successful social, economic and physical regeneration projects.
Mark is the proud Dad of twins, an avid scuba diver, a frustrated guitarist and lives on a hilltop near Epping Forest where he can still keep a watchful eye on his beloved East London… even when he is not working!
