Benita is a yoga teacher and a sound gong healer offering classes at the Boathouse Creative Studios on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays (see timetable below).
The love of flowing, graceful movement, sound and music had always been an important part of Benita’s life. Although she only fully realised the body-mind-spirit connection in adulthood. She teaches Vinyasa Yoga – an evolving salute to her passion to integrate dynamic flow, conscious breathwork and yogic philosophy. Yoga practice helps Benita to work with limitations of the body and fluctuations of the mind, and sacred sounds continually help to find a place of happiness and balance within, by harmonising the vibrations of the body, connecting with True Self and reaching a state of relaxation where the natural healing process begins. Her aim is to share the experience with others, to create a space for peace, clarity and connecting with our own potential.

We are delighted to announce the start of Pole Fitness classes at the Boathouse Studios on Saturdays from 2.00 to 3.00pm.
Tia is a creative all-rounder. At the age of 10, she joined a performing arts school and the arts have been a huge part of her life ever since. Over the years, she has focused on acting and film making.
After battling with her weight for a few years, a friend suggested that she should try pole dancing. She had tried various diets and fitness regimes and thought why not give this a go? Tia was reluctant at first, as she felt a lot bigger than the other women in the class and had little upper body strength. However, she quickly started to love Pole and it’s been a life-changing addition to her life and well-being over the past five years.
Pole is a full body workout, offering cardio and body weight training which allows you to burn fat and tone at the same time. Classes focus on strength and flexibility which steadily improve within classes; so it’s easy to monitor your progress. Pole dancing allows you to feel sexy and confident and for some is also a powerful therapy.
