About The Boathouse Creative Studios
The Boathouse was launched in October 2014 as an exciting new multi-purpose venue.
Overlooking the River Roding, at the heart of the vibrant Icehouse Creative Quarter,
The Boathouse Creative is just 30 minutes from Central London.
Over the past few years, the number of creative businesses and artists basing themselves
here has increased steadily.
There has also been significant regeneration in the area, which now boasts many new homes and residents. The future remains bright, offering the prospect of further growth in the numbers of people living and working here.
Since its launch, The Boathouse has welcomed many pop-up opportunities, performances, exhibitions, jazz and comedy events, plus regular yoga and fitness classes, and a range of arts workshops open to budding and established artists.
Studio hire rates remain affordable which makes them accessible for business, community and private events. At the time of writing (January 5th 2021) we are not permitted to hire the studio for events. We are permitted to allow film and photography shoots with compliance with the COVID-19 safety rules.
Whether you are new to The Boathouse or have been here before, we hope to be able to
welcome you here in 2021, when COVID-19 restrictions are eased.
